My wife Heidi and I have four kids: Ella, Aubrey, Leo and Paisley. I have been a commercial lender at Glenwood State Bank since 2012. I enjoy spending time with my family, hunting, fishing, fastpitch softball and golfing. I was drawn towards Wood-n-Hearts because I've had several family members serve in the military including my grandpa, brother-in-law and several uncles.

I was raised on a farm in Sarles, ND. I attended the University of ND and married Edmond (Butch) Schuler while he was serving the army. I helped work on the farm we purchased in Munich and operated 2 different small business’s during the 15 years before we moved to Grand Forks, ND. The last 20 years of my career, I was the director of a non-profit and learned how important that business sector is to our communities. I have a very strong connection to our military veterans. My father was a B29 pilot in the Army Air Force during WWII. My husband served in the Army in the Viet Nam War. My son served in the Marine Corp during Desert Storm. My grandson served in the Marine Corp. and son-in law served in the Coast Guard. In addition, many uncles and cousins have served our country in various branches of the service. I feel it is important to provide support to any veteran who has contributed to the safety of our country whenever they have a need.

Joanna was born in Windom, MN and was raised on a dairy farm in Jackson County. She attended South Dakota State University (Go Jacks!). Joanna lived and worked in various industries in Wisconsin and SW Minnesota and now lives in Glenwood, working as Marketing Specialist and Events Coordinator at Glacial Ridge Health System. She has three kids and attending their many extracurricular events is her favorite thing to do.
Both of Joanna's parents instilled the value of 'service to others' and she volunteers for Wood-n-Hearts as a way to give back to the brotherhood of Veterans who sacrificed so much for us. Her father was an officer in the Army and served in the Vietnam War. He didn't talk about the war much, but he wore his Vietnam Combat Veteran cap with pride.

Ken was born and raised in Dawson, MN. He grew up with Starbuck being his second home, spending time at the family cabin on south shore. In 1984, Ken and his father started a General Construction business (K-Builders). In 2013, Ken and his wife Michelle made Starbuck their permanent residence. Being involved with Wood-n-Hearts
and helping to benefit our Veterans is very fulfilling.
